Servicing & Repairs
At International Firearms we provide a thorough range of services at very competitive prices. Before disregarding servicing as a non-critical part of shooting inspect these pictures of a self-loading .22 rifle. The customer reported constant jams and loss of accuracy.
So many problems can be resolved by simple maintenance and cleaning. This rifle had fired approximately 2000 rounds and had never been cleaned.
Anything with moving parts will at some time need parts replacing, as moving parts do wear. Most of our servicing is done in-house meaning we save time and cost on all that troublesome shipping to manufacturers and damage in transit. This in turn means savings to you, our valued customers.
Except in rare cases our servicing will include:
- Pre-service chrono (Rifle power is measured prior to servicing) air rifle only!
- Strip down and inspection of internals
- Clean up and replacement parts (if required)
- All parts lubricated as necessary
- Rebuild with new seals and O Rings
- Post-service chrono and setup (*typically 11.4 ft. Lbs. or less)
*Some rifles were never designed to shoot as high as the limit and on others it is not necessary (target rifle). 11.4 is as high as we will tune, unless a Valid FAC can be produced for that specified Rifle.
We also service shotguns of all types. Over-and-unders, side-by-sides, semi-autos and pump actions.
*Please bring your Certificate with you when you bring a shotgun or firearm in for service.*
Our shotgun services include:
- Pre service inspection
- Strip down and inspection of internals
- Clean up and replacement parts (if required)
- All parts lubricated as necessary
- Rebuild and static test
**Field test
**A field test can be carried out if required but this will add time to the service.
Some of our other services include charging of pre-charged rifles, re-blu, stock reconditioning and complete customisation and special builds. Over the years we have had many interesting requests, which we have mostly managed to help our customers with.
